Yahoo deal now off

Just seen on the news that the proposed purchase of Yahoo by Microsoft is now finished due to neither side being able to agree a price.

Your correct Midlandi. After upping their offer from $44.6bn to $47.5bn Yahoo still turned down Microsoft seeking $53bn. MIcrosoft have considered decded to pull out, Steve Balmer has written to Jerry Yang indicating the pull out this morning.

i think yahoo doesnt need to be sold as yahoo is having huge market and fans out there

and how anyone can think or decide about the price tag for gr8 Yahoo but still lets c further if Yahoo gets sold or not
