Download ccleaner - search for it and you will find. It's free and will remove the hassle you are having.

    Hy,
You can also use Disk Cleanup, located in Start -> All Programs -> Accesories -> System Tools

Windows Vista was a super flop experiment by MS even they have accepted it officially, I would suggest you to upgrade to Win7. To remove some unnecessary files, clear the temp files from both sides windows folder and personal setting folder. Also clear all the prefatch files from the windows folder. But all these files will get very few size. To gain more space, turn off the hibernation and system restore. These two occupy too much of space so that may be help you.

You should upgrade your operating system. I heard that Windows Vista is not good and there are many problems you will encounter using that.

I agree too, though I am not using Windows 7, I agree that it is better than Vista. I have friends which is using Windows 7, and they prefer Windows 7 than Vista.

I'd go with this suggestion too because I've been using it for years now.

Might as well consider upgrading your Windows OS now. Vista was the worst OS windows ever made.

^^ I think this one correctly answered your predicament there. Using the Disk Cleanup will show you all the files in you cache and temporary directories including some Windows Update that cost a lot of memory.

You could find your temp folder by.
click start > click run > type %temp%
Then it will open you a folder of temp files. I also suggest you to defragmentation once a month so that it will compress all the space left when you have delete something.
