So all you forum owners out there, will you be making the effort to upgrade your forums to vb4 ?

I will be doing a couple of forums to vb4 Triphp being one of them which i will be cloning the design we currently have obviously with a more vb4 look to it.

Personally i believe that vbulletin will be pricing alot of people out of the market .

What do you think and will you be upgrading ?

Why we should use vBulletin 4?

Seems that the last creature from vBulletin (the version 4) is near to arrive, i saw all comments, posts, reviews and another million of material but at the end my question is simple:

What's the stronger reason why we (vB's admins) should upgrade to the vB4?, what's the "must" we should consider to have on our forums?...

Thanks for your appreciation River , so are you planning to move to vB4?, if yes...why?, if not...why?.-

Im a little annoyed with vbulletin to be honest, ive got 9 expired licences in my account which i was planning on renewing next month to either sell or continue using on the sites, However now they have made it so expensive to renew a licence i have decided that i am only going to stay with vbulletin on one or two forums.

I will be upgrading Triphp and my Tottenham site and maybe one more .The rest i will be switching to IPB slowly.

IPB is a very solid platform now.

Im just wondering how long it will take for all the mods to be created as this forum currently runs around 20 mods in total which i consider 100% necessary.

Triphp will be one of the first to upgrade as i know Shaun at DP is upgrading pretty quickly too which means it will be the "norm" for many webmasters after a little while so us little forums need to keep up with the big boys

Is IPB really that much better? I had a license to vB but I had to sell it (due to money issues - excepting any licenses :p ), what are the main differences?

Yes, I have 3 forums I will be upgrading. 2 smaller forums, and then my bigger forum.

I'am going to upgrade the smaller forums first, and then take care of the bigger forum.

I will not upgrade to VB4 because I am trying to get out of this forums thing.

If the forum is running smoothly with old version why should I upgrade it?
