I am learning HTML partly through opening the source code and reading it. But I wanted to test something different. I used the source code for a site with a horizontal menu with white letters. When I added it in a html editor (and also opened the source code through notepad), the menu showed up vertical and had just plain text with the standard blue color. Why does this happen, and why doesn't it show up exactly like it does on the website?
