    Hey out there,
i know this is not a laptop, hardware or software forum, but im interested in which hardware/laptop do you use for work.

My old one Acer Aspire Timeline, 13" is quite messed up now so Im thinking in buy me a new one. Which one do you use for your business, and what is your business?

Im a graphic and webdesigner so I need a good working laptop with a nice display with real colours. A nice tastatur and tackpad should be included too and i love quality. My Acer was just 1 year and a half old, but he broke down very fast.

    Give me some ideas,

    greetings

I personally wouldnt buy anything else but a Sony Vaio or Apple Mac , The others in build quality do not even compare ( and ive had a lot of laptops over the years for personal and business use )

I will say that if you have a good budget then Sony's and Macs are top of the range, The lower priced models however are often out sourced and not truly Sony Brands or are seriously compromised in build quality.

Of course this is my opinion and personal preference , no doubt other people will have different experiences .

well i was thinking in this two brands. Sadly I dont think apple will be my first choice because I dont like the brand politic. And it seems like the new mac book pro displays isnt so good like the old ones. That they give just one year waranty seems bad too.. And I have read different articles that said that they had some problems with the i7 processors and hyper threading.

Have you ever considered Lenovo? From either price or hardware specs it's outstanding.

Any known and reliable brand laptop would do as long as it's a good working laptop that works best according to your specifications and working conditions.

I recently got a HP 625 Notebook PC and I've been really happy so far. I picked it up after the desktop died. It's used for business, which in this case is secretary stuff but also web design. The display is great, the cost was inexpensive, and after wiping out linux and putting win 7 64, it runs very smoothly.

As per your profession, I suggest you to buy a desktop and I think this is the best option for you.
imac is best option for designers.

I have used Sony, Dell and Lenovo. Lenovo has been the worst and Sony the best. The sony I am using right now is 3 years plus old, never had any issues - except for reduced battery life and system getting slower over the years. Never had to reinstall the windows or format, no hardware issues. On top of that, it looks great and keyboard feels really nice. I know lots of people had been not that lucky with Sonys, but for me Sony has been the best by a mile.
