I think most of ours comes from the Paid Advertising and forum posting.

words to words. and gaming clan. that's how my traffic came from. advertise at another forum doesn't seem to work much on my site.

paid advertising sure brings a lot of traffic, but you could hire someone who can post in numerous forums your link [that's also paid advertising] :) and try putting your website in every directory you find.

Nearly all my traffic comes from google, I'm number 2 for "naruto forums" and "naruto forum" which brings in the majority of my members. Weekly I add the newest Naruto Episode and get top rankings for it for a week which sometimes brings in 100 guests at a time which is great.

Other than that I barely advertise other than posting the link on a few forums when I have time.

Im affriad traffic doest come quickly , well ...... at least not good traffic any way , you can buy targeted traffic but even that doesnt give great conversions , Ad words is probably the best for that but it can be costly, just being active on other forums and promoting your sites can bring in lots of traffic , also offering to do post exchanges with other forum owners can give you a boost
