When do you think would be a good time to hiring staff for your board? I think that once you and your administrator cannot handle it anymore is when you should hire staff, even if you only have 10 members, but they are posting constantly and you just need some extra help from someone to get the moderating done correctly.
I would hire someone (am doing right now) to run one forum on the board for me. I think it maintains slightly more activity.
