What's the amount of money you are willing to work for if you are an OOP programmer (JAVA, C++, C#, Python) freshly graduated from an IT Academy located in the EU ?

I think generally it depends on your experience and portfolio, being able to use those languages does not necessarily mean that you can do everything and do everything with the quality needed.

Clean code, secure code, server resource friendly code, thinking out side of the box in general is what most people will be looking for in the higher wage structures. Qualifications also mean nothing as ive personally used a number people with some amazing qualifications but in reality their work is terrible, On the other hand ive used people that are totally self taught and to this day they are still the best coders ive used.

So overall experience and portfolio /recommendations mean more than any kind of qualification.

Prices can go from anything depending on whether you are pricing for per project basis or hourly rate but generally in the UK you would find it hard to find any good coder for less than £50 per hour and that could grow to £500 per hour depending who you are dealing with , what contracts are involved like NDA's etc.

Where as on the other end of the stick you can pick up a freelancer for £20 for hours of work, obviously quality differences are huge , it all depends on how you consider your self or more importantly how your previous clients consider you. Alot of coders start out by applying for semi large freelance jobs to get some experience under their belt.

The Salary depends on the skill and creativity of the programmer. You cannot say directly.

It depends, if you are fresh graduate but you have no knowledge then you will get less salary, but along with it if you are recent graduate having good knowledge of programming then you will get more salary, so everything depends upon you.

It varies a lot - PHP programmers are relatively cheap and things like JAVA could be a lot more expensive. I am not in EU, so no figures from me!

computer programming has become one of the most underestimated directional tools of the global economy in the last decade. programming is everywhere you look, from cellular phones to laptop computers to checkout counters. the programming professional is in high demand in the UK, Europe, and throughout virtually the entire world .so normally a good programmer can expect a very handsome salary.

    1. It depends on the length of year experience in a specific field.
    2. It depends how much a company can offer.
    3. It depends how you sell yourself or how you negotiate with the recruiting manager.

Now a days, a programmer has a good demand in the job market. He deserves at least 20-30 thousand as a starting salary.
