1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

    This is a subjective question, that may need some factors to consider before responding to.

    Do you want an editor that is free/open source or paid/licensed? What is your current OS? Is your code editor supported there? Are we talking about the WYSIWYG, or simply allowing you to see the code view?

    My favorite so far is still notepad++, supported in Windows, with syntax highlighting and syntax folding.

    Responses may differ, because this question is after all subjective.

    Personally, I like the "Sublime Text 2" as it a cross-platform code editor and supports almost every programming language. Whereas, the Dreamweaver provides support only for the platforms like HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and JavaScript.

    My favorite code editor is note pade ++ . I regular use this and feel much better to use this because this is very friendly in use and understand.

    Eclipse is my favorite code editor as it is goto development environment for writing Java applications. The IDE follows a plugin architecture, which makes it easy to bring support for additional programming languages. There are plugins for C/C++, Ruby, PHP and more.
