outbound links are links that link off your site to somewhere else on the internet, inbound links are incoming links to a website or web page.

When your website is linked to by another website it is called an inbound link. When you link to another website, it is called an outbound link.

The links coming from the other webpage toward yours is called incoming links or inbound links and the links which are pointing toward the other page is called outgoing or outbound links.

Inbound links are external web pages linking back to your website. While outbound links are external sites that you're linking to.
