    Embedded style is like a predefined function, defined once and use many times, It is defined in header and we can use it any where in the web page.
    Example:
    <html><head>
    <style type="text/css" media=screen>
    p {font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: x-small;}
    hr {color: #ff9900; height: 1px }
    a:hover {color: #ff0000; text-decoration: none}
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <p>..........</p>/use of embedded p
    </body>
    </html>

    In HTML, an Embedded Style Sheet is specified using the STYLE [-->Index DOT Html] element within the HEAD element block. For backward compatibility with browsers that do not understand style sheet syntax, the entire contents of the Style element may be embedded in an HTML comment (<!-- -->)
    Syntax:
    <style TYPE="text/css">
    <!--
    [CSS Style Sheet]
    -->
    </style>

    Embedded Style is the one of the way of using CSS in HTML. It is defined within the HEAD element of the HTML page.

    It is written as-

    <html>
    <head>
    <style type="text/css">
    h1{background-color:blue;}
    p{font-family:Arial;}
    </style>
    </head>

    <body>
    <h1>This is the heading</h1>
    <p>This is the paragraph</p>
    </body>
    </html>

    <style type="text/css" media=screen>
    p {font-family: georgia, serif; font-size: x-small;}
    hr {color: #ff9900; height: 1px }
    a:hover {color: #ff0000; text-decoration: none}

    hello friends

    Embedded Style Sheets are preset within the web page. This is very useful in making the collection of all the styles applied to the page and making them appear in a common place under the element or tag which is placed in the page header.
    Embedded styles are best used where you will be using the styles repeatedly on one page, but those styles aren't needed for most of your site.

    In pretty simple words embedded style is a style property for tags, which does we put in the same page's head tag for same page.

    For example:

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>
    my_page.
    </title>
    <style>

    body{
    background-color: red;
    }

    h1{
    color:green
    }
    p{
    font-size : 10px;
    font-family : arial;
    color:black;
    }

    </style>
    <body>
    <h1>
    embedded style
    </h1>
    <p>
    An internal style sheet should be used when a single document has a unique style. You define internal styles in the head section of an HTML page
    </p>

    </body>
    </head>
    </html>

    I hope, i have successfully answered you question.....

    Unlike external style sheets, embedded style method can only specify style information for the current document.

    An embedded style sheet is included in the head of your HTML document. This style sheet affects the display of the elements on that page without affecting other pages in the site. This is a great option if you want every page to have its own look and feel, or if there is an element on a single page that you want to affect without changing the look of that element throughout the rest of the site.

    A linked Style Sheet is a text file with the extension .css, for example the Style Sheet for this course is called tutorial.css, and is "linked" to from all the course's various Web pages. Linked Style Sheets are more flexible than embedded Style Sheets but we shall use an embedded Style Sheet as our first example.
