Hi

There is slight difference between these two terms. When you browse something on the Internet usually nothing is special in your find. On the other hand, while you looking for something, which is very specific to your requirements generally considered as search term.

I agree!!! to be more specific we can say that browsing is something more like skimming, just seeing what is available, getting a "feel" for what is out there. on the other hand, when you search something on the web through different search engines you have something very specific in you mind. its something like scanning.

Browsing means looking for the website or web pages.and searching means finding any particular thing. In browsing you enter the address of particular website or web page in the address bar but in searching you enter the keyword in the google search window.

Browsing is used to describe casual looking through material generally with nothing specific in mind.
Searching describes looking for something specific, and generally by entering search terms at a search engine to find information you want.

Browsing is scanning the worldwide web through links from one site to another or one page to another. Searching on the other hand refers to looking for specific pieces of information using search engines.

Well, I don't agree that Browsing is just going through materail without anything specific in mind: that is Surfing
Browsing in my opinion is following links because they seem to point to something you actually are looking for.
Searching on the other hand is using some facility or searchbox or engine that allows you to enter keywords or phrases that might help you pinpoint what you are looking for.

Cheers

although they look a bit similar, these two are actually different from each other. When you browse, you are not looking for something in particular, you are just spending time reading different topics. While when you are searching, you are in need of a specific and immediate answers to your queries.

Browsing means to search for a particular website by putting a url in the address bar and searching means to find something with the help of search engines.

In term of Browsing we navigate for specific websites and pages. And in searching we can find some special information according to our requirements. Browsing is done through using of address bar and searching is done through search box.

Hi there! For me, the difference between the two is that:
Browsing is just seeing or just looking at something on the web, while searching is reading and broswing at the same time. In searching, you must briefly understand what you are looking for. :)
