Can any one explain to me that what are niche directories? what are the benefits of niche directories in SEO? Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Niche directories are more focus on regional or local area, usually focus on a specific topic and are intended to be a larger source of information for that topic than you would find in a general directory.

For Example, If your website is on Marketing, your site have to be listed on that on that marketing niche.

I have recently added my company to securitysuppliers.com.au and securityinstallers.com.au and I am told by my web designer that these types of links are worth more because it is related to my type of business.
