anybody succeded with the web directory? I have earned only $2 in 1 yr. I would like you to share your sucess in web directory.
I think the only web directories that will provide you any success (and you seem to think that success = $) are dedicated niche directories where you treat the directory part as only one of the additions. Think about it this way: would you advertise in a magazine that has only ads but no other content? would you advertise in a magazine that is full of irrelevant ads and therefore you wonder who would want to read it? would you advertise on a radio station that does not play music? To make a directory work, you have to treat it as a magazine or a television station. You have to provide content that people want, that increases your visitors, and advertisers will come. The easiest way to do that on the web is to pick a subject (only) you are passionate about, and create a site around that. This allows you to have a site with keywords and content that is unique (or limited), which means you get (all) the traffic that is relevant and you do not need to struggle against all the other copycats.
