Sorry to say this but it's completely true that most members here have the wrong idea about Google PR, even the thread creator has. Page Rank(PR) depends upon the link juice you're getting through your back links. So getting thousands of nofollow back links can't give you even PR1. Only dofollow back links count for PR calculation. Second point is the link juice you're getting from the back linking page. Let me explain about it in details. If you're getting a dofollow back links from a PR4 page & there are 4 other external links on that page then all of you're getting link juice of PR4/5(total nos of external links) = 0.8. So the PR is affected by : 1- Dofollow/nofollow links 2- PR of the back link page from where you're getting the link. The more PR the back linking page has, the more link juice you'll get. 3- OBLs( out Bound links) present in that page. The more the external links on that page the less link juice you'll get. So to improve your Google PR, get dofollow back links from high PR pages having less numbers of outbound links. I hope this will be helpful for all the members participated in this thread.
i think the best way to improve page rank. to do off-page activity. and on daily basis we have ti directory submission. one way link building
If we check definition of page rank it is link analysis algorithm, mean for getting good page rank we need to get links but these links should be from good relevant authority website pages which also have good Page rank. All king of links are good improving Page rank, but most focus should be on blogs, articles and forums links.
