I was actually about to post this.

It looks much more advanced than when I was using it, and that was only 6 months ago. Maybe they're responding seriously to the criticism?

Yeah i think VB5 will literally be revolutionary compared to VB4 , Obviously competing with Xenforo's architecture and light weight usage , Lets hope it has a good feature set which xenforo is lacking .

I just hope the pricing is right really, Having being Stung when they released VB4 im not holding my breath about them being good to their current client base with alot of licences.

They appear to be reinventing themselves. However, they'd still need to improve support (and the attitudes of those that provide support) for me to consider vB again.

The trouble is i dont think IPB is a good enough competitor , customer service wise and product wise and reading some of the xenforo forums and lack of development releases (1.2) and many words being said that there wont be a 1.2 it would mean that vbulletin has no real solid competition, commercial products need competition to keep on top of things imo.

I'd agree with that. They seem quite complacent and at times, arrogant.

I was just about to upgrade when I knew that the current Beta version didn't have Paid Subscription.

I will then wait until it does as it's pretty important for me.
