    Hi All

I've see many websites boasting to send you thousands of unique traffics to your website for a minimal fee.

Is it worth the money or is it just something I should avoid?

Pretty new in this industry so please kindly enlighten me with your experienced advices.

    Thanks in Advance

There are scams and there are real but why you have to pay if you can get traffic for free. However, it requires hard work in able to achieve your greatest goal for you site. You just have to know who, where and what kind of traffic provider that you will going to trust. There are lots of free traffic exchange site you can join them and get targeted traffic for your site without ant cost.

They are only scams, because there is no software that will control people to visit your website. I think traffic providers are using bots so here is the question there what is the sense of having very huge traffic if there is no conversion or increase in sales?

For small companies it is best to drive traffic to their site by themselves and the best way is to contribute in online social communities like forums and blogs. Most of the websites claiming to increase traffic are scam. Even google says they receive such emails as well.

Most of the paid traffic will be worthless. I have tried one of these paid traffic sources and while I did receive more traffic as registered by Google Analytics I did receive a lower CTR because of the lower quality of traffic. I am speculating on what happened because I do not know for sure but I suspect the service I paid for had a proxy with a dynamic IP address where a computer program would visit my website with multiple IP addresses fundamentally doing nothing for my traffic.

The only sure way to avoid getting scammed is to do the traffic generation yourself, or at least have a fundamental understanding of what is being done so that you can monitor its progress and gauge the likelihood that the links and or traffic will be ongoing. :sleepy:

Many of these sites are scams… They will take the money, send fake visitors, and become impossible to contact. I would recommend trying to get some quality back links, so you can rank better naturally. Also make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. You can get a tell-a-friend script from websites such as SocialTwist[tellafriend.socialtwist.com] and similar directories of scripts.

There will no need to pay any think for increasing traffic. You need to joint social bookmark or forum or writing blog or exchange your link with other site of having same theme. This is enough for increasing traffic.

Most of these bulk traffic providers seem to produce traffic that's so unproductive that it's virtually useless.

Even if you end up with human visitors instead of bots, the visitors are hit and run, and seem to have little interest in the sites they visit. I suspect that most of them are from 'paid to click' sites where the visitor just wants to earn the money for their click without being distracted by your site content.

Sending this traffic to your site is a bit like weeing into your car's petrol tank, and then wondering why your car's mileage doesn't improve.

Search engine traffic is much much more worthwhile. The visitors are generally looking for the type of content on your site, and are much more likely to stick around, and come back.
