Yes I am agreed with you. Facebook is more popular than Twitter among common user. But among business users both are equally popular.
It is quite tough to select one in between Twitter and Facebook; as both the social networking sites are quite popular and widely used by people around the world. But in comparison of both Twitter and Facebook I personally preferred Twitter that as according to SEO techniques Twitter consists of high page rank and always used for commercial purposes. Therefore most of the business ventures are used to prefer Twitter instead of Facebook.
I've been using facebook for social purposes but use it also to promote my site. I have learn also ways on how to get more traffic using twitter with the tweets.
