What do you do to ensure you can trust the person you are dealing with when buying or selling on a Forum? Do you just look for iTrader or can you decide from PM or email discussions prior to the trade?

I dont think there is just one thing that you have to look for, when buying a forum you have to watch out for so much like weather they have already sold off the database etc, normally a long chat would tell you most things you need to know and even maybe talk about NDA ( i think thats what they call it ) where you both sign a contract of handing over the data etc.

Dont quote me on the NDA thingy i havent used it my self but nearly had to once, seemed like a good idea.

The if your selling the forum, well... it depends weather you care weather the forum is in good hands or not, if you do then obviously you'd want to hear future plans for the place, if you dont care then just make sure you explain every clearly with whats included and make sure they are not paying with CC paypal funds or you might get reversed
