A three horse race, looking at the stats this could be any one of the three. Too close to call I think.

(I'm off to buy some traffic....)

The reason that it matters is because a majority of people that use the alexa toolbar are webmasters. That's why it's common to see webmaster related sites ranking so high even when their actual traffic is considerably lower than non-webmaster related sites.

iwebtool for instance, ranks in at between 2,000 and 3,000, if it were a mineral site with an equal amount of traffic, it would more than likely be ranking in at 80,000 to 100,000. The demographic of Alexa toolbar users is unfortuanately the biggest thing that makes Alexa an inaccurate tool. You would have to compare your site to sites that are similar to your own. In my case, I compare my site to the busiest lost forum on the internet, which is lost-forumdotcom, and to the most popular which is thefuselagedotcom.

Huge amounts...I went from a few hundred uniques a day to 4000 the day after the show aired in the US, back down to 800 or 900 a day, then shot back up during the UK showing of LOST to around 1500...

I know B....I wouldn't want to try to compete either way, I'm not very competitive.

I've noticed that Alexa hasn't updated in 3 or 4 days...It is usually 2 or 3 days behind, now, it's still showing the latest results are from January 31. Anyone else noticing that?

It updates the 3 month average about every 3 or 4 days....It finally updated the daily values today....But yeah, usually, it updates them everyday about 9:00 PM mountain time.
