Hi First of all, you shouldn't even be considering a laptop unless you truly need the portability. After all, portability is the only feature laptops have over desktops. Ask yourself: where am I going to use this laptop other than at my desk? Here are some possibilities: * You need a computer while traveling * You need to use the same PC at home and at work * You need to use your computer in meetings * You are a student, and you want to take it to the library or classroom In your decision about whether you need portability, take into account that laptops are NOT feathers. They weigh a few pounds, and can be slightly cumbersome to carry around, when you include cables, power supply, extra storage drives, etc. Keep sharing and reading Thanks
While choosing a laptop i look for following features in it, Portability - laptops are portable but they should have extar unnecessary attachments with it. Light Weiht - a laptp should be light weight, heavy laptops are like desktops only. battery life - :Laptops are made for journies, so they must have a long battery.
Using laptops for years, not only as a student but in my work as well. The problem with the "normal" bags is that they aren't that handy, the solution is to use backpack and that works in every kind of environment - you can carry the backpack on a bicycle and with a suit into a fancy office if you wish ( no, thanks, been there done that and hate the tie suffocation effect, plus more free clothing is more comfortable ). As long as you are not a designer, who will need a good huge screen with perfect colors, the laptop is not just a replacement of a standalone PC. It's a lifestyle, the choice for urban cyber nomads.
All you have said is true however it has also some disadvantage if you will try look at it. Its helpful in a way, one thing i don't like about it is that its so sensitive to everything that can cause some malfunction while you using it.
I guess it depends on your needs. If you like to travel a lot and are out for meetings, then you should get a notebook. If you are planning to use the system at work, then you should get a desktop.
It depends on your needs, but when speaking for myself; I built my first computer at home about 8-9 years ago, and off course that was the best computer ever. Die hard desktop fan, naturally. But then I got my first laptop and never looked back. Cant imagine ever getting a desktop ever again. There are so many advantages with a laptop over a desktop that I wont even bother writing all of them..
The reason I use more laptop PC than desktop PC in my daily jobs is the performance of laptop is as powerful as the desktops recently. Have a nice day,

Thanks guys, helpful informations. I personally prefer pc, it's strong, fast and it gives me a feeling of stability. I use my laptop only when I travel.
I generally think that laptops are more useful than the Desktops as they have the equal capabilities as Desktops and yet they are more compact. and also as i have to tarvell alot so i i think laptops meets my needs best.
Laptops also take up less space, and can look neater than a desktop PC. A laptop may generally be more personal, especially as you can carry it around with you anytime. Desktop PC's seem more suited to family use. Laptop PC's also have an inbuilt mouse, though you can still choose to use a external mouse if you prefer. Laptop keyboards tend to be more compact and not as bulky as desktop PC keyboards. The only disadvantage of a laptop PC over a desktop PC is the fact that laptops are much more expensive, so if you're looking for a cheaper option then a desktop PC may be a better choice. The main advantage of a laptop over a desktop is that a laptop is portable. You can take a laptop anywhere with you, so it can be used at any time, although laptops do require a mains adaptor in case the battery runs out. Choosing a laptop with a long battery life may be solve this problem.
for me laptop advantage is save energy and it fashionable look ,more over laptop is mobile.only with laptop I can surf outdoor and that bring new blogging experience to me as well
The main feature which I like you can bring the world at anywhere and in any condition by using the internet.
There are many arguments in favor of laptop compared to desktop. Desktop PCs take up space.Even though they are getting smaller,,laptop takes the top position,as it is a completely self contained unit and you don't have to deal with separate CPU and extra cords to power them. A laptop is a great option if u have an aversion to wires and like your PC so much that you cant bear to part with it.
There are the simple and one of important advantages is that you can simply take laptop anywhere also you can access internet anywhere so it can be possible remain update at anywhere and also there are lots of advantages of laptop.
i like multiple laptops to save the most space and i can unplug them to save power if money is tight which its not anymore ;p
