I dont get it, I`ve built many websites and I`ve done both; having a domain with my keyword in it, AND building another site with the website name only in the domain name; the latter not having anything to do with my keyword.

I`ve noticed... no difference at all. Still people keep telling me about the importance of having my keywords in the domain name.

Can someone please tell my exactly WHY this would be an advantage?

Of course, having your targeted keywords in your domain name would be helpful for ranking purpose, especially for Yahoo and Bing, because keyword in domain name is also a factor within many ranking factors. :)

    Have a nice day,

In alot of instances you wont notice it unless the keyword in the domain is exactly the keyword you are targeting imo , for example Footballforum.tld , soccerforum.tld are much easier to optimise than a generic domain with out the keywords in............However saying that , i also believe these domains are easier to get penalised for over optimising or link building too fast, kind of a sandbox type theory however these are just my person opinions and have no real solid proof.
