This is the presentation that ( all of a sudden ) I have to give at an informal TechCrunch meetup here, in our city tomorrow. So this is it - what is the future of search ? It's not that I have no idea, neither that lack of inspiration, nor that I'm trying ( probing ) someone else to make my homework. But it's interesting to hear what do you thing the future in this industry is ? Meanwhile, when I finish with this I'll present it here, as well !
The future looks good for search. I believe more functionalities will be added to the major search engines. Search engines will be a duplicating the functionalities of competitor SEs.
I only have positive views of what the search industry would be in the future. The competition will bring more features and functionalities and this would benefit everyone.
Now that Google Caffeine is now LIVE (in all data center), I think more relevant and fresh content will be given by each Google search. Why? According to Google about Google Caffeine:
I think the future of search will be more competitive because other search engine will be more aggressive to get on top. Searches will more precise to a single search and to give exact search result to a single querrie made.
What I am most worried about is the personal search and that it already applies to absolutely all search engine users, whether they are logged or not. Before there was a personal search, but it was only for users with accounts that have entered into .And after all these innovations I am thinking about the future of SEO optimization. Each user will see different results and as will search its regular site in search engine, Google also will personalize that you will see sites in the first place. For what is SEO on a man who sees that his site is number one? Any idea?
