I quit a long time ago. When I felt like a cig, I would chew or eat a sweet. It worked for me

Use the patch. I have been smoking since I was seven and the only thing that helped me was the patch. There is also medication called Zyban, but You gotta ask Your doctor for it as it is only by prescription.
I am back to smoking, but only because I like smoking.
The other way is to go to jail. Here in BC, Canada provincial jails are non-smoking so whether You want to or not they will make You.
    Good luck.

    Re: Stop smoking

I have tried lot of ways to stop smoking but I have started again. But later my friend advised me to try Hypnosis and suggested a site thoughtsbecomereality.co.uk. They provided a good solution through hypnosis to stop smoking permanently. Hypnosis is one of the best solution for more problems. And I got good improvement in my confidence and Self control also.

So if you feel any cravings you can instantly overcome them by taking three deeper breaths. This means you can use deep breaths to change the way you feel instantly and give you power over the way you feel and help you let go of those old cravings and thus making it easier to stop smoking.

The easiest way to stop smoking - don't ever start.

Besides that - put them down and leave them down. Make up your mind, who is stronger, you or that cancer causing, lung rotting poison wrapped in paper?

4 difficult may be easy ways to quit smoking

    1) Try to be your family. Spend leisure time with them. Your family support is crucial at this point of time may be you can be your loved ones or close friend of yours .They can help you engage in healthy discussion and share your thoughts.
    2) Throw away astray, cigarettes, litter and match box that urge you to go for smoking.
    3) Opt for alternative that work same as cigarette nicotine pack. Go for lozenge, gum, nasal liquid spray and deep inhaler.
    4) Last but not least, think of your love ones for whom you are leading your life to see them happy.

I know people that tried and they just can't live without smoking. I guess it depends on how much you want to quit smoking! Lucky me, I don't smoke

The best way to give up smoking is to just quit with your own willpower! If you REALLY want to quit you will. :xyes:

I also watched some of them smoking horror videos and that helped for me.

I watched one about a guy who had been smoking so long he kept getting blood clots in his legs and he had to have both his legs removed.

Also one about some guy who had to carry oxygen tanks constantly with him to breathe.

    The harsh truth works. :xconfused:

I am smoking from last 9 years. I think, one can stop smoking it for some period and never quit it unless something bad is happened.

    Hi,

Just thought to share you my experience on stop smoking, I'm a mum of 2 kids when my oldest child offered to get my smoke after meal, had realised that was not good, but anyway my main reason to quit was looking at the cost on a packet of cigs when I can save the money on something useful and worked out how many packet of cigs each week I buy and put the money in a box, and everytime I thought of having a cig I either go for a walk as part of my routine now or read a book do a puzzle, just find what you are interested on till you keep busy, you will find that sooner you forget and you are healthier and found the money on something else that you always wanted..Hope this will help you a little..
I thanked my kids everyday that they are around and healthy..
    Have a wonderful x-mas..Good luck..
