I'm going to try and explain this the best I can...lol.

Starting a new site and debating on whether to use ajax?

Can anyone help me decide whether to use ajax and not have as many page views but have faster uploading of content for viewers or having entire page upload for more page views and new ads.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

I would probably ask what niche you are in, How you will be marketing the site to start with etc , Off of the starting blocks i would say try to please your visitors more than anything else, If the other way is slower it could potentially put off your visitors and then you wont have any page veiws anyway :~

    Ajax

AJAX in the system. It's a social networking/picture submission site. I've been hearing a lot of visitor browser problems with using AJAX. I wonder if that will be a major issue with visitors?

Some disadvantage of Ajax is, its often seen as just the re-using of existing technologies that programmers were using anyway. Also, some of the interfaces, while providing the convenience of a single page, were confusing and difficult to navigate. Another glitch in Ajax occurs because of limitations in browser integration. Ajax creates dynamic web pages, tailored to user specifications.

Use whatever you know and then build upon it.

Ajax is good for any sites, as it makes the usability friendlier and also makes the visuals more live.
