So are Blogs that important?

Every man and his dog now are adding a Blog to their site, so are they really that important in the scheme of things?
Will the internet become awash with Blogs and water down the effect they have?

Yeah the popularity of blogs is continuing to grow, meanly because it easy to set up. One of the fastest growing uses in blogs is by webmasters adding content to their sites, blogs provide quality SEO power by their very design and of course the power of the blog lies in keyword rich content

Hafsoh, your right! its actually become a trend now a days and you know what its fun having it. In there you can add your link and can be anchored whatever keyword you are using but of course you have to consider the always the white hat thing in SE to avoid being penalize by G. Promise it will add traffic to your site.

i think you can use the popularity of blogs that are related to you for your backlinks and traffic purposes... also there are a lot of blogging community in the net... that can may give you a lot of visitors

For me yes , not just because i am earning from this , also because of my blog i am having conversation with peoples from around the world ... And because of this conversation i can get lot of new ideas and also i am using my blogs to promote my sites

I don’t think so. Every body who is doing regular bloging is expressing his thoughts about some developments, so bloging is a medium to share personal feelings. Increasing nos. of blogers are not going to affect its importance.

you are correct, but these days blogging is a king of fashion now, but the importance is still the same. Do serious blogging and see the importance.

Not really important, but it is quite easy to use and create and hence people use it at a basic level. Google has blog search which is more biased to a few blogs whereas in sites, you can't think of what goes on when..

Blogging is very popular nowadays maybe because it's easy to set up. Blogging is also a great source of natural backlinks.

you can use your blogs to build backlinks... through the blog roll and from the blog post.... also visitors to your site may came from your blog visitors

Actually blogging helps your site to gain backlinks though it is indirect it will categorize as referral link. Also blogging is also a way of promoting your site and linking into it.

i thought the links that you've put in your blogs are all one way links... that's why it's good in link building...
