    Has anyone had a forum using SMF and changed to VB?
    If so how easy is the change?
    What problems are likely to occur?
    Any usefull tips would be great thanks ;D

    I have not really seen the database structures for SMF and VB. The database migration to me is the most taxing if their structures vary. I think the best migration process is to do it locally. Once the database is working properly on your PC, it would be easy to make a back up copy and restore this in your remote server.

    Yeah, i think thats what i need to find out is if the databases are compatable?

    I suppose they are almost the same except for the naming convention. The third party application like PHPMyAdmin is helpful in generating the SQL statements for the SMF database which you can edit to conform with the requirements of VB.
