    depends on what tld you want. .co.uk domains can't have less than 3 characters. .biz can have just 1 character.

    Memorable isn't always shortest. everyone knows yahoo for example.

    Having a short domain name may be good for some degrees of marketing and terms of memory. Its horrible whenever coming to other aspects of online developing however.

    It is not always necessary to have a very short domain name to remember.

    Domain name is depends on the country e.g. For United Kingdom= .uk
    India= .in etc.......
    and the domain name is also depends on the type of organization
    Example: Government = .gov
    organization = .org
    educational = .edu etc........

    sg domain name.

    back in 2002, i happen to see "sg"
    yes i remember when i hit the browser with sg simple it opened singapore's govt website. i was wondering that just two letters can also open a domain.

    i never seen such a short domain ever. but now it does not open, maybe that technique was harmful to domain names or what.

    I don't think you will find any short domain name available. Most of short domain names has been already registered and most of them are for sale for thousand of dollars.

    Short domains are very good to remember if they have a catchy name. The disadvantage of these domains are, that you will not rank for the main keywords, only if you invest very much in SEO.

    I suggest you to search for some available domains which will contain one or more keywords, and easy to remember.

    is.gd for inspiration on a short domain name - and it serves as a URL shortener; if your case is the same then OK - if you want to brand such a short name it has its own downsides as well.

    Shortest domains, are you kidding? Today, the trend is moving towards the long-tail keywords which can be used as domain names. The core idea behind this is to get easily optimized in search engines for those main keywords, such as "webhostingaffiliate". You can always get these types of domain names, and if it is not available you can choose something similar like "web-hosting-affiliate". These types of domains really works in these days. As it has been noticed through a research that internet users usually uses long-tail keyword or phrases to find a particular and relevant service. Choosing such long-tail domain names could benefit you more compare to the short domain names.

    You need to select domain name according to your targeted audience. The choice is yours either you can select shortest domain name or long tail domain name both have their own advantages. In my opinion the most important thing is that domain name should become catchy to remember.

    You should pick a niche first before you try to buy domain name. keyword/s in domain can help to push the ranking in search engine. So, I think it's not what is the shortest domain name but what your business is all about.
