Can anyone tell me the name of any good tool for SERP checking. Most of the tools I m using are making trouble from last few months and I m not able to get exact results using these tools. thanks in advance.

is there any tool that can show us some of the old rankings of the website? For example, last year rankings.
I actually do it more manually but if you have plenty of keywords to check, try RankChecker by SEOBook.com and also the above suggestions, they work just right for this task.

If you have a website however, and would like it do well, it is the positioning of your website in the SERPs that should be of prime concern to you. Simply put - if a user can't find your site, how will they ever visit your site ?
Wjat if I want to check SERP rankings for a different country. Is there a free tool that will check for specific region?
There's a tool named rankog.com that has the feature of checking SERP positioning across various local extensions of google (including ro). But for other search engines, or for all of them collectively regarding a particular region, I do not know.

SERP rankings? Well, just sign up to google webmaster and bing webmaster. Just look for queries and you can see how you rank for indivual keywords. I think I saw some tools or websites where you can enter a keyword and your site, then you'll get SERP rankings, but I can't remember what. I think google and bing webmasters will do.
Razvan, link-assistant's Rank Tracker supports google's gl parameter, which you can use to check rankings as if you were browsing from a different country. as per the latest to my knowledge, the google stopped suppling the API soap key to find the SERP for a particular page.
Rank Checker Firefox plug-in is one of the best free tool for SERP checking. I've been using this from last 2years.
seobook will provide SERP checker tools, that is really good tool. i have tried many tool but this one is really good tool.
