Riverwire, can i suggest that for logged in members the rss news feeds dont appear in the "New Posts" This used to be the case but we did get quite a few complaints saying that it was a pain to trawl through them, i do have to agree with that also mate.

Ok Members can now choose to "opt out" of forums in the "newposts" section.

UserCP - Edit Options - At the bottom you will see "Exclude forums" - Select the ones you want

    Enjoy

Ok a number of people have mentioned that they dont like the RSS Feeds part of the forum , to be honest its not something that i ever liked before, they seem to get in the way, However i dont want to go get rid of them and not have something to replace them.

Sooo whats everyones views on them ? should they stay of should they go ?

Also what categories ( if any ) would you like to see at triphp ? Maybe a general business section with sub cats ?

List you category suggestions and what you would like to do about the RSS here please :)

You know what i think about the RSS feed. If i was the owner of this board i would attempt to figure out a way OUTSIDE the board to get traffic.
    Kinda like how IWT started
99 percent of those members come to the board after searching for webmaster tools.
I'm almost positive that if IWT did not have all those fancy scripts at their site the forum would have never been what it is now.
So i would figure out a way to come up with something original.
i do have a idea for you.
How about this. Create a entire new way to communicate other than live chat and forums.
Consider on writing a video script that will allow its users to communicate via VIDEO such as youtube.
Imagine a massive youtube full of nothing but a shit load of videos related to SEO or webmaster related
There are tons of fresh ideas you should be able to rack your brain with and it dont have to be this video idea
But what you need to do is figure out something fresh that will get these webmasters stimulated again.
The reality of the situation is that all webmaster sites such a DP and so on are starting to lose traffic. I think this is because there is only so much that can be said at a forum like those.
Us webmasters need something new and that is fact.
