    i just wanted to know how to remove temp files from windows vista.
    my vista machine is eating more and more space daily , idon' t know exactly why this place is getting used by vista , finally i' m running out of space from 50 Gb (c:)

    start> run> type %temp% and delete all.
    Maybe you will need do this
    open my computer right click on disk C, properties and then click disk cleanup and then chose what you want to remove, if you do not want them mark all and then ok, this will delete all the trash.

    1. Click on Start menu
    2. Click on Run
    3. Type %temp% and click "ok"
    4. Some temporary files will appear, delete them permanently.
    5. Similarly clear the recent files also.

    You may also go into the windows drive>windows>temp. BTW both are different temp folder, mine and described above. Given above temp folders are used in loading personal setting by windows and mine is used by windows for all other temp files like installation etc. Removing both of them won't harm anything.

    Yes, the above mention steps are right.
    You can delete with temp command.

    You can also go with a pc cleaner.This will help you to remove all temp files as well as cache files.

    at first go to run command and write here temp than press enter button.here you will see all temporary file.than select all file and press delete button than press enter button.i hope all temporary file will be deleted.you can also use ccleaner for deleting recent and temporary file.

    Its not main problem, Just uninstall some application packages in your C drive, It resolved.

    To remove the temp file there is a small software named CCleaner, it can be downloaded from google at free of cost.
    This CCleaner is specially for cleaning the temp files.

    I think you gotten useful suggestion from other members of this forum community, there is a simple way for deleting temporary files, you should follow the instruction that the members have suggested above.

    Hi all, Please tell me how to delete the windows.old folder in Windows 7. I can't delete it. It has taken lot of unnecessary space in C Drive.
