   Google are now giving regional locations using TLD's . What do you think about it ? Is it really needed ? what benefits can you see coming from this ?

   I think it is applicable for geographic targeting, though google said that they will roughly apply 1 percent of it to search results pages. region tags will improve search results by providing valuable information about website location highlighted in the green URL line. just another feature created by Google.
