Problem bye NAT and IP Addresses

    Hello Everyone

    anyone can please help me I want to show online people in a site. but checking IP its not work, beacouse of NAT in organization which this application will apply, client uses NAT and reusing IP addresses.

    Please help me how i can check the online guest in this condition.

    Assign each user unique session id stored in a DB and count them instead of IP addresses. For precision set a cookie so that you make sure it's correct 1:1 ratio.

    NAT should not be a problem unless your getting massive amounts of traffic from colleges, businesses, places like that who have large networks.

    To be honest, I do not understand what your concern is or why your worried about it.

    I got it as he wants to count people who are online. Unique number of connections i.e. IP's won't help in case they're NAT'd.
