    Anyone try out phpBB3 yet?

I've tried out RC4 (I think it might be at a different RC stage now) and it had some impressive features. But, phpBB is not for me, and I don't care how customizable it ever gets.

It is at 5 now I believe. And I tried it, the new ACP is pretty good, but has a lot of the same features, no new features added. So it is basically just a redesigned phpBB2.

But with a lot more features and customizability, I don't like the layout though, it makes it more confusing that it actually is.

It is a lot better than phpBB2 was, but still not that great, I'm not a big fan of phpBB in general.

It's down pretty far on the list for me, but I'm just not a big fan.

It would be, since you are able to add mods and custom themes, which they might not even have any yet.

yes i think it is at RC5. i will probably use it when the full version comes out. I dont want to use it now because it still has bugs in the system.

Not a ton, after 5 stages of RC and multiple BETAs, there are probably not a TON of bugs now, and it is probably the same as it will be during gold, with just a few minor differences.

There are modifications like a portal and fast reply already been made and LOADS of the original mods are being developed to be phpBB3 compatible

Yes but they also refuse to release a lot of mods before the RC is finished with.. I like phpbb3 and it's my definate choice of free board!

Of course they wold refuse to release big mods such as arcade, cash mod because of the sheer difficulty.
