    Thank you Midi it is a very useful tutorial thread. Telling the truth i tried to start learn php for quite a long time ago. Some weeks ago i decided to learn javascript first, since i mostly focus on user experience and was amazed by the different javascripts many times. Maybe i will learn this wonderful functional language parallel.:cooler:

    Hi;
    There is a major difference between "" and ''.
    for example-
    $name="Ram";
    echo "$name";
    echo '$name';

    output:
    Ram
    $name(real value)

    Hi;
    there are two types of array in php-1.simple array(Associate array), 2. multidimentional array
    for example-
    $af=array("Ram","Sita","Laxman"); //simple array
    $as=array("Ajmer"=>"Ram","Bharatpur"=>"Sita","Jaipur"=>"Laxman"); //associative array
    $at=array("Ram",=>array(1,2,3),"Sita"=>array(4,5,6),"Laxman"=>array(7,8,9)); //multidimentional array

    echo "<pre>";
    print_r($af);
    print_r($as);
    print_r($at);

    Hi,
    basic idea for using inheritance.
    for example-
    <?php
    class person{
    function show{
    echo "Mohan";
    }
    }

    class friend extends person{

    function show1{
    echo "Sohan";
    }
    }
    $obj=new friend;
    $obj->show();
    $obj->show();

    ?>

    output:
    Mohan
    Sohan

    Hi,

    use of array slice function:

    <?php
    $arr=array("mohan","sohan","rohan");
    $arr1=array_slice($arr,1,2);
    print_r($arr1);
    ?>

    output:
    Array
    (
    [0] => sohan
    [1] => rohan
    )
