I have setup a text banner within photoshop and now want to add an image to the banner. How do I do this?

Although I am not expert at Photoshop but I think you can do it by adding some image layer to your existing file. You should resize it before adding it and you can set it's opacity as well.

    Photoshop tutorial

    Hello dear,
You just make an image in a new layer then and if you want to set the image in the front of the text then simple merge the layers or if you want to set the image in the background of the text then you just pick the text layer on the image layer simple. For more ideas you just see some free templates on a free templates site.
    Thanks

Photoshop is better than Paintshop Pro.
However, Paintshop Pro is way cheaper. So if you can not afford Photoshop, Paintshop Pro would be the next best choice.
