I hjave noticed that not many people are bothered about PR as they were a year ago.

It seems that Googles new Algo is working

Im pr2 and have a domain thats pr1 - is that any good?

Its more an ego boost to have PR, for me anyway.
Far more important is visitors,members and for product sites paying customers.

I don't think that PR carries any value....I don't think it ever did, but a lot of people believed that if you got a link on a page on a site that had a high PR, that their PR would increase, and in doing so, so would their traffic. Things got a bit out of hand with webmasters and PR, and I think that things have finally settled down. Especially now that Google (owner of PR) has devalued the practice of buying links to improve search engine rankings and PR.

^you're absolutely right jump. PR has just turned as an ego booster and it stops there. It doesn't have any value anymore...

Talking of PR i just noticed that my main site home page is PR 3 now up from 0 and the forum page is PR1 and the photo gallery also PR1

The site that competes with me has been very upset of late as well

I had my link in Wikipedia and he then copied me

then he went and added a 2nd link to another area of his site, then he went and edited my link so that it would not actually link to my site.

Then one of the clubs that i have donated money to, he has been complaining to all the directors as they link to my site and not his LMAO

So for me this is a real ego boost

also his site is going 4 years and has alexa ranking of 339,000 and mine is going about 5 months and is 362,000

Oh and the fact i just came back from italy with 3 good dogs that my friend then posted pics of on his site and he then was horny over them and discovered were mine has also sent him doo lally LMFAO

Especially since he just imported a POS hahahahaha

God life is great lately

i just discovered after looking at the edited name which he changed from undergroundmastino.com to undergroundmastini.com was purchased 2 weeks after my site started and is linking to his site

My site's was pr 3 and now decrease to pr 0. Wow amazing.
As some people said pr does not have more value.
You are right traffics more important than pr.

I think PR is really important as it gagues the importance of web page. Higher PR is the valuable for any site.

I think traffic is more important than PR because good quality traffic can convert into sales eventually and it can drive your site into more popularity side.

Well in SEO practice, PR is not the only thing we see. there are some others like amount of content and SEO copywriting. I see some website PR 3 that have alexa rank above 600k. My site still pr1 but already alexa rank about 300k. this is because i have more contents.

Yeah but you have work on your content too to boost your traffic. Sometime having PR but not having a traffic is a bad sign though IMO i consider them both for SEO.

PR actually means that how good is your site for search engine bots to crawl on. If you have high PR, your keywords are well good enough for bots to crawl on. Thats somewhat important for a website which is updated daily..

ya You are right ..But there no any option to avoid this. Everything is depend on Google. Hope in future it shows some competitive Search engine.
