Hi. I have been trying to re host my web site, so that my hosting company is not linked to my web development company ( I want to engage more than one company to complete the site, which they are not happy with ).
I have had someone try to re host for me without any success, but I have no way to confirm his capability. I am being told that files are hidden or not accessible, but I dont have any way to prove this.
My current development / hosting company are not interested in helping probably because they are about to lose the hosting. They insist that there is not an issue with the site or the hosting.
Are there companies out there that specialise in re-hosting, that will charge for just the re-hosting cost and have no tie with hosting company.
I have back up copies of both the site and the content.

    Thanks

So what your looking for is that your upstream provider is anonymous.. Correct?

Yes you can .. But you have to take Backup of Website and upload the website again and it also take 48 to 72 hours for DNS change.

One of the main reasons companies may outsource their re-hosting needs is because of the savings.

Backup your account often is always suggested when you encounter such problems...

If you run DNS off 3r party you can actually just change IP and be on the new server in minutes if not seconds.

It seems to me you may start from inexpensive and reliable hosts like marblehost.com or hostgator.com or jolis.net.
These companies are able to meet your needs.

If you want to move hosts, just find a host that offers free migration assistance. Most all hosts offer that.
