1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

    Just upgrade your hardware, cleanup junk stuff & uninstall programs that you're not using, stop those useless startup programs. That's typically it.

    Absolutely, you can't just buy a new PC.. Lol, that is just lame (BUT of course if you want something new and you have the money then it's your decision!) I believe, you can try this first before purchasing a new PC! It might also be that your computer is overly used! :)

    1 Buy faster computer (if you can afford it)
    2 If money is tight buy more Ram
    3 Dont defrag, but format HD and re-install software.

    actually the speed of a computer depend upon the operating system that you are using.all most all operating system has some requirement such as free space in hdd and the size of RAM.it is also depend upon the type of processor.so before using any operating system you must know the requirement of that operting system and try to fullfil this requirement.

    Format your computer and put operating again, scan your computer with a good antivirus.This process will help you computer to work fast.

    Delete unwanted files.
    Use CC cleaner to remove crap
    Don't run too many applications at once
    Upgrade your RAM for better performance

    Keep your C drive(windows drive) as much clean as possible. Use a software like Ccleaner to keep your pc clean and fast. Remove temporary files regularly. These steps may enhance your computer's performance.

    Delete your temporary files and defrag. It will work I guess.

    Don't save to much on desktop and c drive.
    Use Registry Cleaner.
    Defragment your disk
    Delete Temp Files and Empty recycle bin.
    It will help you.

    If your system has lots of temporary files so you have to delete them for getting better speed, and set the screen saver non it can also make system's speed slow. You can delete temporary files from your system by using this command %temp% and install more RAM.

    You should use a software like ccleaner or jet cleaner to clean your pc's temporary files. That will help you get better speed.

    It may to due to more file in your system. Uninstall the software which your not using and update antivirus and scan your full system completely. This will speed up the computer.
