Are you wanting to merge posts from two seperate forums on two different websites or two forum sections within the same forum?

It's pretty easy. If you made the forum from scratch, you can do it.

You needed to create databases and input the database information when creating the forum.
If you understand what a database is and what not it's pretty simple.

So say for argument sake it was here at TriPHP and we merged another forum into it.
Are you saying that a new site would have to be created and the 2 databases used to make a fresh site?
So how would for instance the members database work, as there would be 2 would not one overwrite the other??

I've been looking into this subject for a couple of weeks now. I have six forums, with more than 90,000 members and about 600,000 posts. I've been searching for the easiest way to merge the whole lot without losing anything - it's been a nightmare!

My investigations have led me to conclude that vBulletin's own Impex script is the best way to do things. You can download this for free from the vB members area. Here's the manual for it:

HTH mate - and that everything's going well for you! :)

    Thanks Jazzi

Some else has also mention Impex, so that must be the way forward.
    I will take a look.
