If there are 3 websites of same IP, shall i exchange links with all three? some say that Google thinks of of same-IP websites as one unit only. Is it true?
Different IP's do help however if all 3 sites are highly related to each other then i would still link them. Most of my sites which are related are interlinked and the Moriarty of them rank very well.
Just ask or inquire to your link partner for link exchange. Yes, if resource page or link page has few link with high PR, it will extract the PR juice to your link and your will website will increase the PR.

technically speaking, it's only one link since it's in same IP address. But, it is also good if you exchange link for those 3 sites just to of increase the exposure of your site.
Is your means link exchange? Yes, it will increase your PR if your partner have a high PR and give one way and do-follow link for you.
Dnt do link exchange with same ip.. Because, Google will think that they have some agreement with each other.. So, google will consider it at as cheating.. So dont do that....
