Increasing traffic is waste unless you have good content. Make the content good and well crafted. Take ultimate care in what you do in your site. Then make some reasonable submissions in best directories like Yahoo, Dmoz and enough of Blog commenting(this is the best way i prefer to get traffic) and forum posting in your niche. You are done. You will get traffic but making them visitors is in your hand.
