Is Yahoo traffic better than Google traffic?

I have been receiving a number of hits on my sites recently from Yahoo and have noticed a large conversion percentage, so I did some musing as to why Yahoo traffic might convert better;

1 - Google is the search engine for the masses so everyone uses it and the majority of your hits will just be "surfers", looking for something interesting and staying on sites for 0-5 seconds

2 - Yahoo users are probably a bit more descerning Internet users and are more likely to be looking for what they find and consequently stay on the site for longer, and may well convert

3 - Yahoo users may be of a breed who have become disheartened by all the rubbish that Google tries to force on users and are after a search engine that just gives results, so they use Yahoo to find your site and are serious about what they click on

Google is good in all areas and it is the most popular search engine until now, while yahoo is good on advertising and news which Google doesn't have in it's main page.

I too have experienced the same... though google brings the most amount of traffic but its quality is not as good as yahoo's traffic. People on yahoo are more intrested and responsive too.

Its true that yahoo bring good quality traffic. But google is also good for traffic purpose. I agree that its quality is not better than yahoo.

It has been observed that Yahoo traffci quality wise and not quantity wise as tarffic from Google every one is not intrested crowed insted its a surfers surfing all over the internet. Where as traffic from yahoo are intrested poeple and people that are interactive, Therefore it is said that yahoo traffic is better than Google traffic.

I'll go with Google although Google show up a minimal amount of your backlinks but it was really good in traffic for it can index your site fast every time you make an updates.

Yes, I think yahoo traffic is better then google traffic.

On just about all of my sites, google traffic has a bounce rate in the 50% - 55% range. Yahoo traffic has a bounce rate in the 20%- 25% range.

What else is there to say? From my experience, yahoo traffic has a boucne rate 1/2 of what google does.

For me in my own experience Google is more better than giving traffic if you target keyword properly and optimize your site better. Yahoo traffic also gave me some decent traffic but not really compare to Google. I hope it would help you.

google is one of the search engine who have massive visitor from world wide web. yahoo don't have that much of result. compare to search result google beat yahoo in all ways. they both are tottly different from each other.

Yes it has been observed by many including me that traffic from Yahoo is more responsive and interactive compared to Google traffic. Though the quantity isn't great but quality of Yahoo traffic is better than Google.

You have made some very interesting assumptions about Yahoo users here. What do you base this on? Is it personal experience or did you read this somewhere, or perhaps its a little bit of both. If you have reference links could you provide them? As for me the only sales that I have made came from Google users. I ask everyone who inquires about may services "how did you find us" and "what search engine did you use?" The answer is always Google!

Google is best search engine ,and you have to work on google to increase your traffic.

We get more number of potential clients from Google.

Traffic coming from Yahoo are mainly looking for free solutions.

No i don't think so, google is the best and its traffic is also better than yahoo in both aspects quantity as well as quality.
