Is PR ( page rank ) important ?

Like the moderator mentioned PR is just one of the variables Google uses to assign SERPS. The "quality" of the content on your landing page will have a lot to do with your SERPS ranking. My advice...dont fight it, embrace PR as a means by which you can increase the monetization of your site. I fought it and I lost...big time...PR is a yardstick used to measure potential advertising revenue. PR does matter if you make money through advertising.

Although a lot is already said, but we can summarize "PR is important if you have quality stuff on you web pages with a good keywords density and off and on changes in your web pages."

PR is not important. It only increases on website's popularity and not search rankings.

yes if you have your own website and selling there products and services so PR is not important. serp is more important than PR.
because you customer not see your PR they just find your site in serp thats it.

If you have site with high Google PR, you can make money more easily out of it by selling links

Yes it is important factor. But main important is to bring keyword in ranking in top 10. Then ball is in your court.

PR is only important if you planning to sell it.....usually traffic and revenue can be runing your way in low PR too......

Erm i wouldnt say its important, but its nice to have a high PR blog!
