Is having a customized video player on your website good for SEO and link building?

A video player is web tool. It could be designed to have an appearance that would remind of the certain brand and by having the options to be embedded and shared it could help generate links and thus contribute to the SEO efforts. I see it as a web content development, quality content or link bait. What do you think?

Actually it is more useful now because people find it more entertaining and more interesting than reading an article. Its proven that in terms of SEO people find a way to evolved by its nature and finding the latest technique to get the attention of potential customers.

Actually its one of the latest way in building links for your site though there are some disadvantage in using it and sometimes it makes your site load slower.

But as for the search engine optimization factor, unless the player has built in alt tags, then its not going to help.
