Do you think that 100% uptime is possible? Hosting providers of course include them as one of the features of the various plans. I don't think it is possible. Servers go down at least for one hour a month which means they go down for 12 hours a year! At the most providers can give 99.97% of uptime.

I don't see how 100% uptime is possible, especially since all servers need to be upgraded or restarted sometimes. I'd be more than happy with 99.99% uptime if a hosting company could actually deliver on that :)

Well according to me 100% uptime is not possible because Server is a machine it may face issue any time so that is why companies offers 99.9% uptime.

I've never seen anyone advertise 100% uptime, probably just a gimmick. There is always something that can go wrong- power outages, hardware failure, fires, acts of god at the datacenter. Theres just no way to 'guarantee' 100% uptime, unless maybe they have 3 or 4 auto-redundancy backups of everything, that'd be pretty expensive though.

Would be possible if every hosting deals offer their own back up servers. That's why, web hosting companies do not ensure their clients with a 100% uptime since it would be too costly to have different back up servers for each dedicated IP hosts.

Cloud hosting and load balanced dedicated server hosting solutions offer maximum number of uptime guarantee, however, professional web hosts never commit their clients 100% uptime, because there are many things when down time is unavoidable such as maintenance of server hardware, etc...

Well it this figure may vary from web host to web host...and depends on several circumstances.

it's possible from the cloud hosting logical. However few hosts managed to do so because of the large investment.

Well i dont think so that 100% uptime is possible in any hosting because its a machine it may have error any time so 99.9% uptime is provided to be on safer side.

Logically the concept of cloud or sever mirroring or load balancing solutions are able to offer 100% uptime, but the fact is; it depends on circumstances. Anything could happen so practically 100% uptime seems to be a promotional tactics, but logically it would be achievable.

In my opinion 100% uptime is possible. If the web hosting has a good data center where the servers are regularly monitored, 100% uptime is definitely possible.

100% uptime is almost impossible because errors may occur with server or if the server got a hit by ddos attach

I guess 0.03% is that important. just imagine how many traffic you lost with that.

Well i also agree because Server is a Machine and we dont give its 100% guarantee.. There are some possibilities that it may get error or stop working.

It seems to me that it will be correct to choose the host that offers at least 99.9% uptime guarantee.
As for recommendation, have a look at vpswebserver.com - the thing is that their vps hosting solutions impressed me a lot.
The best thing is customer support, any question you have will be answered within 10 minutes.
Their uptime is fantastic and ability to upgrade and downgrade is a plus.
