The short answer is both. SEO gets you the "free" traffic, but there is so much value in PPC that it shouldn't be ignored. People often think of PPC as a temporary measure. It's just there until the SEO campaign achieves the rankings you're looking for. But, there is no reason to stop PPC once you're on the first page with organic SEO. The double branding effect you have far outweighs the potential that you're paying for a click that you could have gotten for free. Here's the thing, the tracking you can do with PPC allows you to track everything, down to a minute level of performance. This allows you to tweak and test your PPC campaigns to ensure every dollar you spend makes more than a dollar in return. That, of course, means profits. As long as your PPC campaign is profitable, there is no reason not to keep it active. And, since only about 30% of searchers click on a paid ad, you're really not in significant danger of losing the "free" click.
When designing an approach to make the most effective use of pay per click advertising, keep the audience in mind.It can be a fine line in choosing the right mix of advertisers to include on a web site. Another aspect to consider in an effort to improve the PPC optimization is to assess the revenue generated by the ads.
I should prefer going into SEO. Although it takes effort, it is not costly for you to promote your site and grow your business.
Well what all i would say is invest in SEO for once and gain profits and succes for your business for ever, instead of totally relaying in PPC through out your life.....
PPC is good but it is not free. You need to pay for every single click. However if you optimized your website, then you can get free clicks without having any cost. But SEO takes time so you can go for PPC and in the spare time you can optimize your website.
I give much importance for both. From my view, if my site is already in top for the targeted keywords then i don't mind of PPC, but if there is some little drop on the site ranking in the SERP, then i'll go for PPC to generate atleast traffic for those targeted keywords. :>
Both SEO and PPC are important. ROI of SEO is takes longer period where as that of PPC is very shorter period.
SEO is good but does not always pay off, pay per click is ok but can get extremely expensive, i had a google £100 voucher, i was putting up £2+ to be on the front page under my search terms, i was getting the clicks but not the business. Something that is good but you have to put your money where your mouth is, If you can spend £100 on adwords a month and get £400 worth of business it would pay itself back but SEO and the normal avenues are better for me
