Improving Traffic.

Other that buying traffic, which I dont see the point in, whats the best way to improve traffic to a website?

Social media is great, forum posts, and leaving comment on other related blogs.

forums, and article submission

Think from your audence perspective, good fresh updated current content.

There are various techniques are available to increase the traffic for a particular site among which some of are as follows:

1) PPC Promotion is the one of the best strategies that can perk up a lot of traffic into your site.
2) Link exchange is another good way of getting more traffic.
3) By posting classified ads on some sites like backpage, craiglists and usfreeads is another option of getting higher traffic to your site.
4) Article marketing is good way of increasing the traffic level to your site.

I do feel it strongly that article marketing are a regular source of traffic for your site. They work day and night to bring traffic to your site. If your niche is good enough and popular to attract more and more people, then article marketing is a good way to bring in traffic to your site.

Sorry for asking jr_sci but exactly what's article marketing and how it works ?.

Article marketing means to market your website using articles. You write some articles based on your niche and give a Signature of your Site and then post them into some leading Article directories. They shall not only create a lot of Backlinks but also drive a lot of visitors from these articles.

But if you write an article and then submit it to several directories isn't it a potential problem due duplicated content?, what about rules search engines follows to set when it's a spammy duplicated content or not?, in past i saw some sites penalized due this issue (not article marketing, due duplicated text, post, content).

There should not be a duplicate content in your site but at the same time you can submit the same article with a link back to your website to many directories. All it counts is the back links that it gets from article directories and a lot of traffic.

MasterWeb, I have no idea, if Search Engines can penalise if we use same article in different directories but I have seen many webmasters following this idea.

Aside from article creation, social bookmarking, etc. one thing is blogging, you can create your own blog site or you can do blog commenting it will help you also to gain traffic for your site.

Well I have heard about blog commenting before but not sure that blog commenting bring in much traffic. See, for example, we hardly click links on blog comments. I mean blog commenting can be useful for generating backlinks but to generate traffic we must do a really lot of blog commenting in some top Blogs related to our niche.

First and most important is good content help to improve traffic also directory submission,social bookmarking,article posting,press release submission,forum posting ,yahoo ans etc really help u to improving traffic to your web site.
