I am using logmein for remote access to other systems, it is better application in terms of speed and functionality. I think this is quite a generous concept to operate other systems with login details.

I would recommend TightVNC, it is a more streamlined version of RealVNC.

Teamviewer is the best software I have ever used to connect to a computer over internet using a dynamic IP.

If target system is either inside my LAN or its using a dedicated IP ISP, I always use Windows Remote Desktop.

there are a lot of software for remote connection: TeamViewer, LogMeIn, VNC, etc. Or you can use windows remote connection by windows. and there is this new google chrome extension for remote connection. all of them is pretty easy to use, imo.
