    If it is a Wordpress platform blog it should naturally gain a bit of advantage over any competition. However age, back links, onpage SEO plays a degree of importance.

    There are seo packages you can place in your blog and internally promote your blog without it showing up on your blog site.

    You need to make sure you have an SEO package, at least 10 posts and update your blog at least every 2 weeks with a new article.

    plain old free wordpress .com blogs work just fine for seo without any plug ins as long as you have enough content and incoming links.

    I guess to get your blog goes on a higher rank, you have make sure that your content is worth reading. What some people don't realize is that, although they have a good traffic but are the visitors reading your content in your blog?

    I[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]f I had something to advertise I would rather a blog have well written content, link build it to get a steady flow of regular readers as well as a high PR.[/FONT]
